Washington, April 23: Since April 1948 Pakistan continues to execute neo-colonial rule in resource-rich Balochistan. The Baloch people carried out revolts in 1948, 1958, 1973 and 2005 to till date which indicates growing discontent against rule by Islamabad. Plunder of its vast natural wealth by Islamabad makes it the poorest province whereas human rights violations are high with the rise in cases of enforced disappearances, killings and sectarian violence.The people of Balochistan who have maintained a proud and distinctive national, cultural and religious identity dating back to ancient times, having been demanding self-rule.
