London, Sep 03: Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti fought against the illegal occupation of Balochistan. The 79-year-old was killed along with 30 of his comrades in a military operation in Kohlu on August 26, 2006. Bugti, who did not surrender before a Pakistani dictator General Pervez Musharraf and laid down his life for the rights of people of Balochistan, was remembered by the Baloch the world over. In London, members of the UK Baloch community marked the 6th death anniversary of the nationalist leader, and hit out against the Pakistani establishment for genocide of the Baloch people. In Balochistan, a complete shutter down strike was observed and a rally was carried out to protest the arbitrary military operation against Bugti, demanding that his killers be brought to justice.
