A bullet-riddeled body found on 28 May was named as that of Mehran Kiyazai by Mistake



Occupied Balochistan: A bullet riddled body which was recovered two weeks ago from Shalkot (Quetta), Balochistan has been identified as that of Shahnawaz Marri. On 28th May 2012 three bullet riddled bodies were found from Shalkot, capital of Pakistan occupied Balochistan. Two of the bodies were identity was ascertained as that of Mohammad Khan Marri and Mohammad Nabi Marri sons of Baz Khan Marri – both brothers, while the third body was initially identified by the name of Mehran Kiyazai but later his relatives said in rush, confusion and distress they made a mistake and after having a close look they body they realised that it was not the body of their relative Mehran Baloch. The body was then again shifted to Bolan Medical Complex where it was kept for identification for past two weeks. On Thursday the family of Shahnawaz Marri was approached by the investigation officer of Hub Police Station via phone and he informed that Shahnawaz’s bullet riddled body has been recovered and was kept at BolanMedical Complex in Quetta. On Friday the family members had shifted the body of Shahnawaz to New Kahan, Quetta. He was laid to his final abode in New Kahan ‘’Martyrs Graveyard’’ with full National pride and honour. It is pertinent to mention that Shahnawaz Marri was abducted by the Pakistani secret agencies on April 4, 2012 from ‘’Daru Hotel’’ situated in the industrial town of Hub. Shahnawaz was resident of Lasbela district in Balochistan. Last month Shahnawaz’s relatives appeared before the three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan during the hearings of missing persons cases in Quetta and recorded their statement.     News courtesy of Baluchsarmachar
