As many as five journalists have been killed in Pakistan in 2013. Four of those have been killed in or belong to Balochistan.The journalist was sitting at his public call shop near the bus stop in Kalat when unidentified armed men riding on motorbikes came and shot him dead. The Kalat Police Station head constable Lal Muhammed told The Express Tribune that Afridi was killed instantly.
